Hats for Hollywood stars and the West
In 1922 George Bailey founded the Bailey Hat Company in Los Angeles, California in response to the need for a West Coast hat making company that catered for the local market and the Western wear market too. George Bailey understood that Hollywood’s leading men were the global arbiters of style and taste and he dedicated his time to providing them with fine quality hats.
The Bailey Hat Company are particularly known for their craftsmanship with a quality that is apparent in all styles and luxury fibres and fabrics including fur felt, leather, genuine Panama, straw, wool and cloth hats and caps. Classic styles such as Fedoras, Godfathers and Derbys were engineered and popularised by the Bailey Hat Company in the 1920’s.
Bailey Hats were worn by Hollywood greats such as Humphrey Bogart and Clark Gable. These individually handcrafted hats can last a lifetime and always carry a strong and sophisticated look.
Today, the Bailey Hat Company is divided into two divisions: the Bailey of Hollywood line is well-known for their modern interpretation on classic men’s hat tailoring, and Bailey Western is a collection of original and authentic Western headwear with an eye for industry leading product.
