Traditional Western dress hat
The Gambler Hat is a traditional Western dress hat. The crown of a Gambler Hat is similar to a pork pie, but with a wider brim that is wider than most dress hats but not as wide as a cowboy hat. The edge of the brim on a Gambler Hat has a tight pencil curl.
Gambler Hats are made from felt, straw and even leather.
Gambler Hats were popularised when riverboat casinos were sailing up and down Mississippi river. Rhett Butler wore a Gambler Hat in Gone With the Wind.
